If you're like us, you love playgrounds.
And guess what.
This website is a playground!
With stories. And pictures. Also boats. Lots of boats. Did you know that sailors traditionally kept weasels aboard? The weasels chased off the mice.
Wait. Sorry! Scratch that. Neat Lesson is a laboratory. Or, maybe a kitchen? Really, have you ever seen an ant colony? Kind of like that. It's an ecosystem of rambunctious ideas, an educational miscape, a place where we can cultivate happy accidents and watch them grow.
Did I say ant colony? I meant an artists' colony. Sheesh.
Join us! Our family likes to explore and goof around. We're always looking for something new to do. And so we've ended up here, in Neat Lesson.
We've already lured some fantastic friends into this budding experiment. If you sign yourself up for our club, you'll be able to participate behind the scenes, too, and navigate to new places. At the risk of making this whole thing sound more formal than it really is: joining is free.
The Peemsht Project
The centerpiece of this site is an untitled story in progress, The Peemsht Project. It's about a family and some friends at sea. It's a way for our own family to learn together about the process of making new things (and about weasels).
By the Way
If you're feeling lost, try navigating this site by the stars we've started placing. You may not end up feeling any less lost, but you might happen into some welcome surprises. And thank you for coming along . . .
